Tim Brown - Partner, Alta-Berkeley Ventures (Board Member)

Tim joined Alta Berkeley in 1998 following a ten year career within high tech industries, principally semiconductor manufacturing equipment and three years at 3i, a leading London-based private equity firm.

Previous roles include process design engineer for INMOS, product manager for Surface Technology Systems plc, sales manager for Leybold and consultant project manager in the JET European nuclear fusion programme. He holds a BSc Hons (First Class) in Physics from Manchester University, an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and is responsible for Alta Berkeley's investments in Cambridge Positioning Systems, Improveline, Inside Contactless, m-spatial, Polatis and Touch Clarity.
